SelectDesign is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. Contact us at hei@selectdesign.no or +47 900 00 000, Oslo, Norway.

• Contact form: name, email, phone number and the content of your enquiry.
• Chat: the messages you send us, plus an anonymous visitor ID stored locally in your browser so the conversation can continue.
• Account and customer portal: email address, name, login details, projects, files, invoices and messages tied to your customer relationship.
• Technical data: necessary logs for operations and security, and — if you consent — statistics on website usage.

• Responding to enquiries and providing quotes — legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
• Delivering services, project follow-up and invoicing — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Operations, security and troubleshooting — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Analytics and marketing via cookies — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
• Bookkeeping of sales records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

We store personal data only as long as necessary for its purpose. Enquiries that don't lead to a customer relationship are normally deleted within 12 months. Customer data is deleted within 24 months after the relationship ends, except accounting records, which are retained for five years under Norwegian bookkeeping law.

We never sell personal data. Data is only shared with suppliers who help us run the service, under a data processing agreement:

• Hosting, database, authentication, file storage and email delivery for the website and customer portal.
• Accounting and invoicing systems for customers with active agreements.
• Analytics tools, only if you have consented to analytics cookies.

Some suppliers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Access to customer data is role-based, all traffic is encrypted, and the customer portal is protected so each customer only sees their own projects, files and invoices.
